As the festive season twinkles away, I find myself in a delightful first: a break between Christmas and New Year's. OMG, I couldn't believe it! This week has turned into an unexpected journey of relaxation and exploring the 'hood, turning ordinary days into a mosaic of joyful experiences. Each day, I've been lacing up my purple walking shoes with my mom and dad to discover the hidden gems of our neighborhood. Meandering along the winding paths, we've seen the winter morning sun casting a soft glow over the frosty landscape.

And

Adding to the week's excitement was a spontaneous trip to the local thrift shop. I stumbled upon some treasures—first, this fun sign.

And

Then, a brand new pizza stone - a find that promises many future nights of homemade pizza bliss.

But the crown jewel of my thrift adventure was what appeared to be an antique brass lamp for a candle. I mean, can you believe this thing!? It is heavy! Natural brass and the top is glass. I thought I had a one-of-a-kind piece, only to find out it is from a multi-level marketing candle company! LOL!

My culinary skills have been my companions this week. Inspired by watching the new Julia Child series. I love her! I love everything about her. I've been whipping up dishes like noodle soup and broccoli cheese quiche. Each meal celebrates flavors, a testament to mastering the art of easy and delicious cooking.
What a wonderful week! I plan on enjoying every minute.
